Angie and Brad 'distant on trip'
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were reportedly "barely speaking" during a recent trip to Malta.
The Hollywood couple are currently engaged, but no date has been set for the wedding. They recently hit Malta to check out locations for an upcoming joint movie venture, but eyewitnesses say it was noticeable the pair had other things on their mind.
"People couldn't help but notice the distance between them," an onlooker told British magazine Closer. "They barely spoke and there seemed to be a lot of tension. Brad was speaking to the locals he met but Angelina remained silent."
Angelina, 39, and 50-year-old Brad Pitt raise six children together, so the trip should have been an opportunity to spend quality time together. However, it's been claimed the stars did their own thing while away.
"Angelina clearly wears the trousers in the relationship and appeared to be the one in charge," the insider continued.
"When they boarded a boat to cross over to the island of Gozo, she moved to the front of the ship alone.
"Once back in their hotel, Angelina seemed to remain in the room while Brad was spotted walking around the hotel and even eating lunch by himself."
Angelina recently addressed wedding speculation, joking her children were pushing for a Disney or paintball-themed do. Meanwhile, there have been rumours Brad has been avoiding her questions about tying the knot.
"Their inner circle know how much Angelina wants to get married," a source said. "They've been engaged for two years but don't seem to be any closer to setting a date.
"She's concerned by Brad's lack of action over the plans and it's driving a wedge between them."
Angelina has been busy recently, promoting her movie Maleficent and planning work on her joint venture with Brad. Apparently he worries she's taking on too much and that a wedding would be too stressful right now.
