Angie: Family means everything
Angelina Jolie has reflected on the past year and everything that’s happened.
The actress has had an amazing year, marrying Brad Pitt in August and turning director for the second time with Unbroken, a tale about World War II prisoner Louis Zamperini.
Despite all these big changes, the past 12 months have held one stand-out moment for the star, who has six children with Brad.
"My son [Maddox] became a teenager," the 39-year-old smiled to People magazine. "That was a marker in my year."
"More than anything, like any mom, I'm just happy the kids are healthy… I married their dad. My health is good."
Angelina and Brad tied the knot in France, with Maddox and the rest of their brood – Shiloh, Pax, Knox, Vivienne and Zahara – all heavily involved in the big day. They decorated her veil and even helped write the vows.
"They did a really good job!" she gushed. "The eight of us celebrated, and Brad and I committed our lives to the children."
In Unbroken, Angelina steps behind the camera to direct Jack O’Connell in the lead role. With an Oscar in the bag, she certainly knows what she’s doing.
"I've loved being an actor, but I'm happier shining a light on other actors," she admitted.
She’s also been busy with her role in the UN as a Special Envoy. And she wouldn’t rule out going into politics either.
“I do want to make change, so I'm open to whatever role that may take,” she said.
