Angie: True love is unique
Angelina Jolie is pleased that she learnt to love via her children.
The actress raises six kids with her fiancé Brad Pitt - twins Vivienne and Knox, five, Shiloh, eight, Zahara, nine, Pax, ten, and 12-year-old Maddox.
She's loved up with Brad, who she met in 2005, but insists it was the adoption of her son Maddox in 2002 that taught her the true meaning of the word.
"True love is something I first experienced through my children. When I first looked into Maddox's eyes, it suddenly wasn't about me anymore," she explained to German magazine TV Movie.
"It was a relief to be able to love someone that much."
Angelina and Brad's eldest will turn 13 in August. The star is keen to concentrate on her existing brood before adding to it.
"My six are almost teens," she reasoned. "Even now it takes me all evening to talk to every child about their problems and dreams."
There's been a lot of speculation about when Hollywood's hottest couple will tie the knot. They announced their engagement in 2012, but are yet to set a wedding date.
"There is no wedding," she clarified. "We wouldn't even know when we'd have time for that."
Instead, promotional duties for Angelina's latest movie Maleficent are keeping the pair busy. It's a take on classic tale Sleeping Beauty, telling the story from the villain's point of view.
"I wanted to show that no one is born evil," she explained. "We all have something bad in us, but we also have the power to choose to do good."
