Aniston: Pitt divorce isn’t painful
Jennifer Aniston isn’t lamenting over her divorce from ex-husband Brad Pitt.
The 45-year-old Cake actress was married to the 51-year-old World War Z star from 2000 to 2005.
Both parties have now moved on to new relationships and Jennifer is nonplussed by rumours she’s still harping on her breakup with Brad.
“I don’t find it painful,” the Friends icon revealed during her appearance on American talk show, CBS Sunday Morning. “I think it’s a narrative that follows you because it’s an interesting headline. It’s more of a media-driven topic.”
Jennifer is now engaged to wed Justin Theroux and Brad tied the knot with Angelina Jolie in August 2014.
Jennifer reveals she and Brad are on amicable terms, but they’re not the best of friends.
“We’ve exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but it’s not a constant thing,” she noted.
Rumours continue to swirl about the stability of Jennifer’s romance with Justin, as the pair have yet to marry since announcing their engagement in August 2012.
And she denied their relationship is on the rocks in pre-released clips of the same CBS interview.
“I think I used to ... really, there was a period where I was hell-bent on saying, 'That's not true, that's not right, that's not fair.' And now I just think you have to let it roll off your back, and you realise, I think everyone knows it's all B.S. and like soap opera on paper. The main thing is to try to just keep refocusing back on what you know is true and what makes you guys happy and, you know, we know what our truth is. That's all just static,” Jennifer said.
