Aniston: Stop the petty Jolie rumours!
Jennifer Aniston dismisses rumours she and Angelina Jolie purposely avoided each other at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Thursday night.
Both Hollywood A-listers attended the 20th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Thursday night and speculation is rife the actresses purposely avoided interacting with one another.
But Jennifer dismisses this hearsay as complete nonsense sensationalised by the media.
"I think that's slowly coming to an end. I really do," she told ET Online of the rivalry gossip.
The 45-year-old Friends actress was married to Angelina’s current husband Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005, with gossip rampant the women have loathed each other for years.
Angelina released her directorial effort Unbroken, a World War II biographical drama, last month and Jennifer has nothing but praise for the film.
“I mean, that movie is so beautiful and wonderful and she did such a gorgeous job,” Jennifer gushed.
Jennifer is now engaged to marry Justin Theroux.
She wishes people would cease gossiping about the possibility of her despising Angelina and enter a new conversation instead.
“I think that it's time people stop with that petty B.S. and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness,” Jennifer said. “It’s just tiresome and old. It's like an old leather shoe. Let's buy a new pair of shiny shoes."
The 45-year-old recently insisted she and ex-husband Brad share no bad blood.
In fact, Jennifer claimed she isn’t emotionally scarred by their divorce in any way.
“I don’t find [our divorce] painful,” the she recently revealed during her appearance on American talk show, CBS Sunday Morning. “I think it’s a narrative that follows you because it’s an interesting headline. It’s more of a media-driven topic.”
