Queen rocker Brian May has been shocked to see his wife become all-consumed by her passion for the ballroom, the Strictly Come Dancing star has revealed.
Former EastEnders actress Anita Dobson, 62, said the TV show had become "my life".
She told TV Times magazine: "Brian's a very kind, gentle and supportive man.
"He knows how much this means to me so he's giving me 100 per cent, but he's quite shocked at the way it's taken over me.
"I eat, sleep and drink it. It's my life. He said he's never seen me like this.
"It's true, I don't think anything else has ever brought me such joy. It's a complete revelation."
Anita, who turned down requests to appear in previous series because she feared humiliating herself, said the experience had been "liberating".
She said she will be pursuing her new-found hobby after her time ends on the BBC1 show, but not with the Queen guitarist.
"Brian's not a dancer ... I'm going to have to find myself someone else to dance with, I fear," she said.
