Anton Du Beke and Hannah Summers wed in secret after birth of twins

The 50-year-old dancer first sparked rumours he may have wed in secret when he attended the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday (22May17) with Hannah, who was sporting a wedding band alongside her engagement ring.

Strictly Come Dancing professional Anton Du Beke has married girlfriend Hannah Summers two months after the birth of their twins.

The 50-year-old dancer first sparked rumours he may have wed in secret when he attended the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday (22May17) with Hannah, who was sporting a wedding band alongside her engagement ring.

Anton's spokesperson later confirmed to MailOnline that the pair had indeed tied the knot. However, the TV favourite has yet to comment on his newlywed status on his social media pages.

While the wedding comes as something of a surprise, Anton had previously hinted that he wanted to walk down the aisle with his blonde girlfriend.

He told the Mirror in 2016: "She’s just perfect. I love her above all things. Will we marry? Maybe next year. We’re very happy.

"Performing was the 'woman' in my life, if you like - but then Hannah came along. She’s just perfect. She’s very beautiful, clever, but also really kind."

He and Hannah started dating after Anton's split from broadcaster Caroline Feraday in 2007, but he didn't go public with their relationship until 2011.

The marriage news comes just two months after the pair became first-time parents, with Hannah giving birth to a twin son and daughter.

Anton announced the happy news on his Instagram page on 30 March, sharing a picture of two pairs of ribboned booties, one pink and one blue, alongside a top hat and cane.

"Oh my! The little dancing feet have arrived. Mum and twins are perfect and dad is ridiculously excited!" he wrote alongside the snap.

Anton has been hitting headlines in recent months thanks to the changes on Strictly Come Dancing. While he had been widely expected to take the head judge role on the show following Len Goodman's departure, Shirley Ballas was recently announced as his replacement.

And despite not having commented publicly on the snub, Anton was reportedly left "gutted" by BBC bosses' decision to give Shirley the job instead of him.
