Actor Armie Hammer reportedly has one of the strictest budgets in Hollywood.

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - The Lone Ranger’s Armie Hammer is reportedly so “frugal”, he has to check whether dish soap is in his budget.

It’s unlikely the star is struggling with money: he’s the descendant of oil tycoon Armand Hammer and has a successful Hollywood career, making films like Entourage and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

However, it’s now been claimed he sets himself some pretty tight guidelines when it comes to splashing the cash.

“(He’s) one of the most frugal people you’ll ever meet,” a source claimed to America’s OK! magazine.

“He sticks to a strict budget where everything’s accounted for, from dish soap to dry cleaning.”

But Armie, 29, apparently doesn’t stop at recording household expenses. It’s also claimed he’s clamped down on luxuries most other actors wouldn’t blink an eye at.

“He even dumped his PR team recently, convinced that he didn’t need the expense,” the insider marvelled.

Luckily Armie’s wife of five years, Elizabeth Chambers has become used to his ways during their marriage. And she apparently has a sneaky tip for concealing any designer shopping splurges from her other half.

“She cuts out labels from her clothes just to avoid a lecture!” the insider laughed.

But luckily Armie has a romantic side to distract from his supposedly frugal ways. Back in 2013, Elizabeth recalled the words he told her when they decided to become an item.

"He sat me down and said, 'Look, we don't have to do this. We could just go our own ways, and then one day you'll be 40 and divorced and we'll run into each other, and we'll laugh and go out to dinner and have this same connection, and we'll wonder why we wasted all of that time. Or we could just do it now and enjoy the ride,'" she told Town & Country magazine.
