Armie Hammer to become a father

Armie Hammer has confirmed he is set to become a dad.

The Lone Ranger actor and his wife Elizabeth Chambers are expecting their first child together.

A representative for Armie, 27, confirmed to People that the couple's new arrival is due later this year.

The Social Network star tied the knot with model and TV host Elizabeth in 2010, and last year opened up to Elle magazine about being a married man.

He said: "I like the idea of marriage. I like the idea that I have a best friend. It's just really comforting. I remember being single and trying to date, and it was just stressful and hard. It wasn't fun. This is fun."

Armie's upcoming films include psychological thriller Mine and Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
