Ashley Benson: Bieber wasn't impressed with me

Ashley Benson

Ashley Benson has admitted her parody of Justin Bieber's Boyfriend promo didn't go down well with him.

The actress made headlines when the video she made with actor James Franco went viral in January.

Ashley became friends with Justin's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez when they filmed Spring Breakers together last year.

She admits she hasn't been in touch with the former Disney star recently.

“I haven’t heard from Selena [about the Boyfriend parody]! People thought that I was being mean, but I was just doing what the girl did in the video. It wasn’t a jab at her. But I heard from Justin. He wasn’t happy," Ashley admitted to Seventeen magazine. "Justin is like my little brother since he and my ex [Ryan Good] are so close. Anytime you go through a breakup, the friends get defensive. But all is well in that area now.”

The 23-year-old is best known for her role on TV series Pretty Little Liars. She has big ambitions for her acting career in the future.

“I love Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman - those are the careers I want," Ashley explained. "My goal is to win an Oscar, and I’m going to take the steps to get there.”

Ashley is also a fan of Girls star Lena Dunham and enjoys reading her Instagram posts. The teen idol gave her top tips on how to be a success on the photo social networking site.

"I follow Lena Dunham on Instagram and she is the coolest person. She posts a lot of stuff from Girls," Ashley confessed.

"If they like your pictures [you'll increase your followers]. I like to do a lot of outfits, food and stuff with my dog. I do whatever I see and I think is cool."
