Ashley Greene can still love her ex-boyfriends, even if their split was acrimonious.
The Twilight actress has been open about her love struggles in the past. She finds it hard to be in a relationship as her career commitments make it difficult to find time for that special person.
Ashley has dated Joe Jonas and Broadway star singer-and-actor Reeve Carney in the past and bares no ill will to any of her former boyfriends.
"I certainly have [been in love]," she told Seventeen magazine. "I can still love an ex as a person, regardless if the break-up was bad. I would never wish anything negative on them. It takes more energy to hate them than to wish them well."
Ashley is promoting the final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn - Part II at the moment, which hits screens later this month.
The main stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been in the headlines lately due to their on/off romance. Kristen had an affair with married film director Rupert Sanders earlier this year but it's thought the pair are trying to make things work now.
Ashley hopes people give her co-stars the space they need to work on things.
"I don't know," she replied, when asked in the pair's personal problems will affect audiences. "Hopefully, it won't taint it and people will still be able to enjoy the movie. I think a lot of people see us as our characters; I really want them to still be able to do that."
