Ashley Greene: Romance is so hard

Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene can't help "detaching" herself when it comes to relationships.

The star is gearing up to promote the last instalment in the Twilight Saga franchise, Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Ashley often spends months away from home working on movie sets all around the world. This can make it tough for the 25-year-old actress to form close bonds with other people.

"I'm always here and there - everyone in my industry is - and that's why a lot of relationships are fleeting," Ashley revealed in an interview with the latest US edition of Marie Claire. "I've gotten very good at detaching whenever I have to go away for three months, which I realise is hard on friends and kind of selfish.

"You go on a couple of dates, and then someone ships off to do a movie. It's not like you're going to fly out and see them, because it's not serious enough for that."

Ashley shot to fame playing Alice Cullen in Twilight. Despite the worldwide popularity of the popular vampire movies, the star insists she has remained down to earth. Although some people accused Ashley of letting the success go to her head, the brunette surrounds herself with loved ones who keep her grounded.

"After the movie came out, some people said, 'You changed,'" she explained. "And I said, 'I haven't changed, dude. Your opinion of me has changed because I'm working on this film.' Trust me, my parents would let me know."

No matter how stringently your loved ones warn you, that won't stop you pursuing a romantic interest. You're utterly captivated by someone who exudes warmth, charisma and drama. The two of you get along very well, but beware of the financial toll this relationship will take. The object of your affection likes expensive things. If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
