Ashley Tisdale would never dream of snooping through her friends private drawers.

The 27-year-old actress knows that a lot of untruths are posted about her online, but she doesn't read them. She firmly believes it is better not to know what people are saying about her, worrying she would become obsessed with the speculation otherwise.

She never doubts her friends, explaining they treat each other in the same way. That means they are open and honest and don't spy on each other.

"My God, no! That’s so creepy!" she told HuffPost Celebrity #nofilter, when asked if she ever snoops in her friend's bathroom cabinets. "Umm, that’s so weird… I don’t think I’ve ever done that."

Ashley made her name portraying Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical franchise. The role still means a lot to her, but she is keen to break free from being seen as a star of children's films.

That is one of the reasons she posed for a raunchy Maxim photoshoot earlier this year. The star was seen in skimpy tops and swimwear and hopes it showed that she is now a fully-fledged woman.

"I don’t really look at it as bad, but it was really fun and it was definitely a different experience. I’m really proud of what I do and how I work out and so I thought it was perfect for the movie that I just had come out, Scary Movie. Because I feel like it’s definitely for an older audience and I’ve grown up, you know, I’m 27 now and so I feel like the magazine really portrayed that to my fans," she explained.

"I’m very proud that I didn’t do something that they’ve done all the time, like the lingerie thing."
