Ashton ‘born to be a dad’

Ashton Kutcher was "meant to be a father", according to a source.

The 36-year-old actor and his fiancée Mila Kunis are expecting their first child together, with Mila recently confirming the pregnancy to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

The pair are thought to be expecting a girl, and the Two and a Half Men actor apparently couldn't be more excited.

"Ashton was meant to be a father," an insider told People magazine. "It's all he can talk about!"

Mila has flaunted her burgeoning baby bump over the last few weeks and has been spotted attending pregnancy yoga classes so she stays fit and healthy. Ashton is apparently making it his mission to ensure she feels fully supported as her body changes.

"Ashton has been taking such good care of Mila," the source explained. "He's doting on her and telling her she looks beautiful. He understands she's going through changes and he hasn't judged her for it.

"Mila seems determined to stay healthy during her pregnancy."

The couple wasted no time in discussing baby names, reportedly swapping ones they liked as soon as they discovered they were expecting. They are thought to have chosen the perfect moniker for the new arrival, although they're keeping it close to their chests at the moment.

Ashton and Mila have guarded their romance fiercely and don't talk about each other much in public. That will continue as they become parents and they are apparently planning to move homes to ensure their tot's privacy.

They have also made plans for Mila's labour, with the star telling Ellen she wants a natural birth.

"Ashton supports her 100 per cent," the source said.

Mila, 30, couldn't have been more complimentary about her beau when chatting with Ellen earlier this month. She revealed the lengths Ashton has gone to in order to keep her happy, revealing he has taken steps to ensure all her cravings are met.

“He assumed that I was going to have goofy cravings, so he stocked our secondary fridge with weird food. Just like pickles and sauerkraut, or like anchovies and ice creams … just in case at one point during this pregnancy I’d be like, ‘I really want something,'" she laughed.

“[Then one day this week] I was like, ‘Oh my God, I need a pickle.’ It was just the weirdest thing. I needed this pickle, and he was like, ‘Hold on a second,’ and disappeared in the backyard and came back with the most amazing dill pickle of all time.”
