Aubry avoids anger management classes
Gabriel Aubry will not be required to attend anger management classes following his Thanksgiving Day brawl with Olivier Martinez.
Halle Berry's ex-partner was arrested after getting into an altercation with her fiancé Olivier on the American holiday last year.
Gabriel was dropping off his four-year-old daughter Nahla at Halle's Los Angeles home at the time and was hospitalised with injuries to his head and ribs.
Prosecutors revealed last month he would not face charges although it was believed he would be ordered to attend some sort of counseling.
According to RadarOnline, police have instead decided to close the case.
"The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office could have ordered Gabe to attend anger management classes, even though he wasn't officially charged with any crimes," a source told the website.
"Gabe attended an informal office hearing, and it was determined that there was absolutely no need for him to enroll in any sort of anger management classes or counseling," the insider added.
Police apparently believed Gabriel was the aggressor in the attack despite pictures of the model sporting a vivid black eye and swollen face being leaked online.
There was initially talk of all the adults seeking restraining orders against each other, but it was later claimed they had decided to settle things via their lawyers to avoid a trial.
Gabriel and Halle have been at odds over Nahla for some time, as the actress wanted to move to Olivier's native France with the tot.
It's been suggested the former couple realised things had come to a head over Thanksgiving and mutually agreed they needed to focus on their daughter.
