Babies on hold for Scherzinger

Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that she is putting off having children until she's nearly 40.

The X Factor judge, who is dating racing driver Lewis Hamilton, said she wants to have a family but the time isn't right just yet - and hinted that she would even think about freezing her eggs so she can have babies in the future.

Nicole, 34, said in an interview for the latest issue of Marie Claire magazine, out on November 8: "I'm not getting any younger. I don't want to have kids now, though.

"Five years might be a good time to look at having children but whenever it's meant to happen is when it will happen. Right now, I'm focusing on my career."

Nicole went on: "I see lots of women having beautiful children later in life. And, if not, just freeze your eggs!"

The former Pussycat Doll also opened up about Simon Cowell apparently branding her "wishy-washy" when she appeared on the American version of X Factor last year as a judge.

The star, who was axed from the position, insisted she "did a great job with my contestants".

"I still brought ratings to the damn show. Everybody was talking about it - that's not a bad thing," she said.

"I'm a very sincere and honest person, and if you think that's boring you can turn off and watch something else.

"I'm not going to change just to try to fit in. I'm very experienced in my art, and in music, and in what we're looking for. That 'boring' crap is hogwash. You try to do my job. And if you still think it's boring, then check out my music videos on YouTube because that's not boring."
