Bailey suffering from Bell's palsy

Sam Bailey has revealed she is suffering from Bell's palsy.

The former X Factor winner told fans on Twitter last week that she is suffering from the nerve disorder, which typically causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in one side of the face.

"As I am suffering at the minute with Bell's palsy and feeling very sorry for myself x I am going to do a follow spree!! Who's in? Xx," she wrote.

Another message had the hashtag "leftsideoffaceisnumb".

The singer - who gave birth to daughter Miley in September - later told fans: "Thank you to all my fans with the special tweets of support x feeling slightly better xx still got a weird face though xx."

On Friday she assured her followers that she was on the mend.

She tweeted: "Apart from having a numb face and not being able to blink my left eye, I'm feeling a lot better today!!"
