Sports presenter Clare Balding has been lined up as a guest host for Have I Got News For You when the series returns next month.
Clare, one of the stars of the BBC's Olympics coverage for her slick performances, will take her place in the chair when the satirical show comes back on October 12.
She is the first of 10 guests who will officiate on the show which has famously had a revolving array of presenters since the departure of Angus Deayton a decade ago.
Clare will take up a new role as the face of Channel 4's horseracing coverage including the Grand National, Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot early next year, but will continue to do some work for the BBC.
She was one of the key figures in the BBC coverage of London 2012, with swimming and equestrian events among her duties.
She will join regulars Paul Merton and Ian Hislop on the BBC's Have I Got News For You, with the names of the two other panellists yet to be announced for her show.
