Ballroom beats jungle for Grant

Hugh Grant has a secret Strictly fantasy

Hugh Grant has joked he would take to the floor and indulge his "secret fantasy" of going on Strictly Come Dancing.

The Notting Hill star hinted to Tom Bradby on ITV1's The Agenda that he would rather go on the BBC One ballroom dancing show than any other reality television programme.

When asked if he would follow in Conservative MP Nadine Dorries' footsteps and go on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, he said: "It probably isn't the most dignified thing you can do as an MP.

"I've always wanted to be on the dancing one myself. That's my secret fantasy. That's out of the bag."

Hugh, who was on the programme to discuss the BBC and press regulation, was also asked if he would ever run as a politician.

The actor, 52, who played the role of a British prime minister in Love Actually, said: "No. Rather like as an actor I can only play one role, in politics I can only rant about one issue really.

"I don't have any other beliefs that hold steady for long."

It looks as if the prospects for a relationship are good, so long as your intentions are honourable. Playing with a person's heart will backfire miserably. Make sure your feelings are deep and true before embarking on an affair.More
