Barrowman wins Christmas Strictly

John Barrowman and Kristina Rihanoff performed a 'dazzling' quickstep

Torchwood star John Barrowman won the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special and said he would "love to do the entire series".

The Glasgow-born actor, who danced with professional partner Kristina Rihanoff, beat Fern Britton, Business Secretary Vince Cable, Ronni Ancona and June Brown to the title.

He said: "It feels absolutely wonderful but I have to say for the time I've watched this it's about time that she (Kristina) won. If I had time I'd love to do the entire series - that would be brilliant. I absolutely had a ball - it was amazing. A dream come true."

The pair's quickstep routine was a hit with the judges with Alesha Dixon saying it was "full on, full energy".

Bruno Tonioli said: "Dazzlers don't come more dazzling than John Barrowman. Is there anything you can't do, or you haven't done, by the way? I'm telling you that was a real cracker with a huge, huge bang."

The five semi-finalists of this year's show, including eventual winner Kara Tointon, all returned to perform a special routine.

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
