Beat Generation nominated for international award

The Belfast Telegraph's web magazine partners BE Entertainment has been nominated for International award.

The production company's online magazine Beat Generation was nominated by Digital Publisher C21 for International Format Awards in the best multi-platform format category.



BE Entertainment producer Stephen O’Reilly said: " Beat Generation is an online lifestyle magazine covering the latest news in fashion, music, cinema, TV, parties and events is the first series of its kind in the UK / Ireland designed to work on several platforms with complementary content for each media.



"The video-blog based magazine show based in Belfast and Dublin has become increasingly popular amongst its fan base since its launch this year on the Belfast Telegraph site, Northern Ireland0I’s top web portal. Dynamic and engaging, the cross-platform format, which can be tailored for different countries, has already been launched in Portugal and Brazil."

The award nomination is the fifth international nomination for the overall organisation this year (HQ is CR Entertainment in Dublin). In March CR Entertainment won an International Kidscreen award in New York for the RTE series Aisling's Diary and was also nominated this year for an International Emmy and two Rose D'or awards.

Winners will be announced at MIPCOM, Cannes on October 6th, 2010.
