Beckham’s son ‘wants acting career’
Victoria and David Beckham's son Cruz reportedly wants to become an actor.
The fashion designer and her sportsman husband have nine-year-old Cruz together, along with sons Romeo and Brooklyn and daughter Harper. To ensure their children live a normal life the couple are said to be apprehensive about letting them get into the limelight too young, despite their dreams.
"Harper's still too young to understand she's famous, but they've told Cruz he can't do anything until he's ten. Cruz is indignant as he wants to be in moves and keeps asking his dad to ring up Tom Cruise and bag an acting role for him!" a source told British magazine Closer.
"David and Victoria ensure their kids know that their education is key and that they should be aiming to be at the top of their classes - that just doesn't wash with Cruz!"
Cruz's older sibling Romeo, 11, has already made a name for himself in the fashion industry after modelling for a Burberry campaign. Brooklyn, 15, also managed to bag himself a cover on magazine Man About Town recently and was shot by photographer Alasdair McLellan. Their parents reportedly approve of these appearances, but still want education to be the focus.
"There's no way Victoria and David want their kids to do 'showbiz things' for the sake of it. They moved back to the UK last January, enrolling their boys into a strict school, partly to protect them from that side of LA life where kids in their early teens go to wild parties," the insider indulged.
"They let Brooklyn do the shoot because he really wanted to. They've told him, 'Now it's back to school!' They don't want their kids to become showbiz brats or let fame go to their heads."
