Beckhams to ‘chill out’

David and Victoria Beckham are searching for countryside homes so their family can “chill out”.

The sports star and his designer wife share four children together and they are currently residing in London.

It is rumoured the couple are searching for rural homes in the Cotswolds region of England, so they can escape from the busy city every now and again.

“David and Victoria are looking to buy two houses. They love Britain and want to base themselves here for the foreseeable future,” a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

“But as much as they love London and they need to be there for work and the kids’ schools, they want somewhere quiet.

“They’re looking for a slow-paced lifestyle when they’re not working.”

Apparently David and Victoria are concerned with how fame is impacting their children.

The pair want their offspring to enjoy typical childhood activities without fear of being in the spotlight.

“They also want their sons to be able to do what other kids do without being worried,” the insider said.

“They want a weekend, countryside estate where they can chill out and do normal things that normal families do.”

David is also supposedly looking forward to letting off steam in the rustic surroundings through exercise.

It is said that one of his top priorities is to find a country home with excellent hiking paths.

“Recently, David has adopted a new hobby, walking, and he loves to do it in the countryside,” the source said.

“His idea of a great weekend is a long, countryside stroll.”

The Beckhams are currently renovating their mansion in Holland Park, west London.

They are reportedly planning to spend £2 million over the next couple of months to make it the perfect family home for their three sons and daughter.
