Becks: Injury drives Victoria crazy
David Beckham has joked about driving his wife Victoria mad while being at home with an injury.
"I think it was driving my wife more crazy than me," said the footballer, who is recovering from an injury to his Achilles tendon.
The 35-year-old will soon be back on the pitch for LA Galaxy, although his England career looks like it might be over.
England manager Fabio Capello told ITV Sport: "I say thank you very much for helping me at the World Cup but probably he is a little bit old."
Prior to Capello's announcement, Beckham said being out of action for most of 2010 had had its advantages.
He said: "It's given me time to spend with the family and do things that I haven't been able to do, like go to Afghanistan, things like that. That's been the good side of it, but now I just want to get back on the field."
Having rejoined his LA Galaxy team mates for training again this week, Beckham announced he had no plans leave his home in America.
He said: "We're back in LA, we're happy, the kids are happy. The kids go back to school in a couple of weeks."
Asked if he would continue modelling, he replied: "Maybe, I do the odd photo shoot, I still have commitments and things like that, but my main objective is to get out on the field and get playing again."
In response to Capello's comment, Beckham's spokesman said: "There has been no discussion of retirement. He will always be available for his country, when fit and if needed he will be there."
