Belsonic 2017: Jess Glynne and Axwell /\ Ingrosso among headliners of Ormeau Park gigs

Chart-topping singer Jess Glynne has been announced as a headliner of the upcoming Belsonic outdoor music festival, which will take place at Ormeau Park in Belfast in June next year.

The open air concert on Thursday June, 22nd is being billed as the singer’s biggest Irish headline show to date.

In 2015, Jess Glynne’s debut album 'I Cry When I Laugh' became the biggest selling debut of the year.

Going platinum in the UK in only 10 weeks, the singer is one of two British female solo artists to have five consecutive UK number one singles.

Meanwhile Swedish DJ duo Axwell /\ Ingrosso will make their debut visit to Belfast on Friday, June 30th as part of the festival.

The Stockholm-based duo teamed up in 2014, before a landmark residency in Ibiza’s Ushuaia super-club as well as high-profile headline slots at Coachella and V Festival.

Next year, Belsonic is moving its open air concerts to Ormeau Park after a 2016 stint at Titanic Belfast.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday at 9am.
