Ben Affleck accidentally played a recording of himself dressed as Santa to a room full of movie buffs.
The actor portrays a businessman called Ivan who has an offshore gambling operation in Runner, Runner. The film is due out next year but Ben was keen to show it off to movie executives early, so arranged for a special screening at his home.
As he pressed play scenes of Ben, his wife Jennifer Garner and their children flashed up on screen - much to the guests' amusement.
"Ben was in a Santa suit singing Christmas carols to Jen, kids and friends at an Affleck Yuletide party," National Enquirer writes.
The hunky Hollywood star dealt with the mishap with aplomb, immediately bursting into laughter and telling his guests how thrilled he was to have found the video.
He explained he and Jennifer had been looking for the clip "everywhere" after editing it onto a single disc so they could make copies for friends.
Reaching into his stack of DVDs to obtain Runner, Runner, Ben managed to find the Christmas clip.
The actor and Jennifer have Violet, six, Seraphina, three, and eight-month-old Samuel together.
