Ashley Benson has fuelled reports she’s dating Spring Breakers co-star James Franco after dodging questions about the status of their relationship.

The pair are believed to have struck up a romance while working on the forthcoming crime drama, which features Ashley in a threesome with James and co-star Vanessa Hudgens.

Reports about Ashley’s involvement with James first surfaced last October.

The Pretty Little Liars star was cornered about the status of their relationship at a fashion event in New York City this week and responded coyly to insinuation.

“James is awesome,” Ashley told America’s OK! magazine. “We became super close after the movie. Yeah. He’s a really good friend of mine.”

When the reporter asked if the 23-year-old was dating James, 34, her publicist stepped in to interject.

“She doesn’t want to talk about that,” the spokesman said.

Ashley declined to elaborate. But it looks like James may be facing some tough competition.

The actress admitted she has wandering eyes, and harbours crushes for a couple of other actors, including Ryan Gosling and Johnny Depp.

Ashley confessed the few times she’s crossed paths with Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny she’s completely tongue-tied.

“He’s hot,” she laughed. ”I’ve been in passing with him, and I can’t say anything! Literally, if he was in front of me, I’d be like ‘ahhh! Huh. What do I do?’”

She also gave hints at how the other sex may win her heart.

A simple dinner and a movie are “always good,” Ashley said.

Most importantly, a man should make her laugh.

“Have a good personality. I get bored easily, so don’t make me bored!” she said. “They have to be silly. I don’t like when they take themselves too seriously, because I definitely don’t.”

Spring Breakers is scheduled for release later this month.
