Bette Midler has challenged Kim Kardashian to put her 'selfies' to work for charity.

On Wednesday Bette took to Twitter and challenged Kim to make her nude posts count by matching a donation to her charity Stages for Success.

The 70-year-old offered to match any donation offered by Kim in a tweet attached to a photoshopped image of the Hocus Pocus star holding a cardboard sign over her body. In the photo mock-up she is pictured wearing just a bra and underwear.

Bette tweeted: "Kim Kardashian Put your selfie to work…for a good cause! Donate, RT, I'll match $$ 2-1."

The actress also provided a link to her charity Stages for Success, which aims to update auditoriums in public schools for children who are interested in performing.

Kim, 35, has yet to respond, but after recently bragging that she has banked $80 million from her Kim Kardashian app, matching Bette's donation shouldn't be a problem.

The fresh exchange came after the celebrities came to blows on the social networking site when Bette posted a barbed comment directed at the reality star after she posted a nude selfie.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star posted a daring photo of herself completely naked on Twitter on Sunday night (06Mar16), and, with her modesty barely protected behind strategically-placed black bars.

Kim, who gave birth to her second child in December (15), wrote the caption, "When you're like I have nothing to wear LOL (laugh out loud)."

The revealing snap caught the attention of fans and critics alike, including Bette, who wasn't afraid to share her thoughts on Kim's penchant for baring all.

"Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today," Bette wrote on Twitter. "If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera"

Kim responded with a statement hitting back at her critics. "It's 2016. The body-shaming and slut-shaming - it's like, enough is enough.

"I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. You be you and let me be me. I am a mother. I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur and I am allowed to be sexy," she explained.
