Fresh from her star-turn at the Super Bowl half-time show, Queen of Pop Beyonce has announced an Irish date in her forthcoming world tour.

She will play Dublin's Croke Park on July 9 as part of her Formation World Tour.

Tickets will go on sale next Monday at 9am from, priced from €49.50 (£39), with Beyhive Fan Club Member pre-sales starting today.

It will be Beyoncé's first solo tour since her 2013 Mrs Carter Show World Tour which spanned two years and five continents.

She will also play a number of other European dates this summer including London and Manchester.

Meanwhile, Coldplay look set to clinch another number one album following their performance at the Super Bowl.

A Head Full Of Dreams is the band's only studio album not to go to number one, but it currently leads the race to be this week's chart-topper.

Thwarted by Adele's 25 on its original release in December, Coldplay's album has climbed back up the chart - almost 8,000 combined sales ahead of its nearest rival, according to the Official Charts Company. If it holds on, it will give Coldplay their seventh UK number one album, topping off an exciting week, which saw them perform at the Super Bowl with Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
