BGT's Alesha thrilled with baby

Alesha Dixon has given birth to a baby girl

Alesha Dixon has said she is "over the moon" after becoming a mum to a girl she has called Azura.

The Britain's Got Talent star and former Strictly Come Dancing judge revealed in June that she and her partner, Azuka Ononye, were set to become parents.

Now, on her 35th birthday, she told her fans on Twitter : " I've had the best present in the world... My baby girl Azura Sienna was born last week!!!

"I'm elated and over-the-moon :) x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x"

She added: "It seems quick because I was hiding it for so long!!! I was in my six month of pregnancy at the Britain's Got Talent final! :) xxx"

Alesha is reported to have met Azuka, a dancer, when they worked together as she launched her solo career after the break-up of girl group Mis-Teeq.

She appeared as a contestant on BBC ballroom show Strictly Come Dancing and won the series in 2007 before joining the judging panel two years later, replacing Arlene Phillips.

The star, who joined rival show Britain's Got Talent last year, married So Solid Crew star MC Harvey in 2005 but they split up a year later.

Don't get involved with a hidden intrigue. The drama will be exciting at first, but eventually you will tire of keeping secrets. If someone is interested in you romantically, you shouldn't have to sneak around together. An oppressive work situation may tempt you to quit your job. Try not to discuss your plans with colleagues. You don't want a rival to tell your employer about your resignation until you're ready to tender it. Protect your interests at all costs.More
