Justin Bieber is reportedly erasing a reference to ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez from his single Beauty and a Beat.
Nicki Minaj collaborated with the 18-year-old singer on the track.
Her brief mention of his rumoured ex will be scrapped from his live shows, according to reports.
"Justin Bieber, you know I'm a hit 'em with the ether, buns out, wiener, but I gotta keep an eye out for Selena," Nicki raps.
A source tells UK newspaper The Sun while it's too late to remove the reference from his album, Believe, the Baby hitmaker will refuse to include the lyric in his concerts.
"There's no way he's going to be singing it or have anyone else sing it - including Nicki - at his concerts," the insider said. "He knows it would just rub salt in the wounds for Selena and there would be a huge backlash from his girl fans, so it's easier forgotten."
The 20-year-old actress reportedly called time on the couple's two-year relationship last week. E! News first reported the split.
Selena was said to have trust issues. A source told the network their hectic schedules were also to blame.
Neither Justin nor Selena have confirmed the break-up.
