Bieber is ‘changing’
Justin Bieber’s music is becoming more mature as an artist, according to his latest collaborator.
The pair collaborate on a new song called Wait For a Minute and Faded hitmaker Tyga believes the track shows how much the pop star has grown as an artist.
"He's in his transition period,” Tyga told MTV News.
The rapper compared working with Justin to collaborating with Chris Brown. Justin and Chris are known to be acquaintances and the lyricist says he knows from his experience with the Kiss Kiss hitmaker his new track with Justin is going to be big.
“I felt like when me and Chris did Deuces, it was a moment, so I felt like this would be a big moment for both of us with this song," Tyga said.
According to the rapper, the video concept for the song is something they came up with together. Justin and Tyga wanted to create something that was on a level with a short film, so no expense was spared.
"We got some of the guys that do CGI for some of the big movies. We're freezing time and switching different worlds trying to get away from certain things - the negative that comes with the lifestyle,” Tyga explained.
“I just always want to take it to another level, instead of just shooting this regular story. Just be creative and try to do something way different,” he said.
Wait For A Minute will appear on Tyga’s The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty LP. The song was actually meant to be on Justin’s album, but Tyga didn’t want to wait to use it.
"The song was actually, originally for his album. I figured we put it out," Tyga said. "The time is now, time is of the essence, so I'll use it and we can get the dope look and shoot a video for it."
