Big Brother to have two houses for first time ever

Big Brother will see contestants competing in two separate houses for the first time in the show's history, Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed on Twitter.

Big Brother will pit contestants against in each other in two separate houses for this year's series.

The show will be returning to Channel 5 on 7 June (16), and it seems as though it could be one of the most exciting ever. Big Brother's Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark-Neal took to Twitter on Wednesday night (01June16) to tease fans about the twist, which will see two different groups of housemates in two separate houses for the first time in the reality show's history.

"The game is changing and THE OTHERS are coming," Rylan tweeted. "A new set of Housemates will enter a new game. But they won’t be alone. For the first time ever, Big Brother has TWO HOUSES.

"Neither THE HOUSEMATES nor THE OTHERS are aware that some of them are already connected to each other. And these CONNECTIONS could turn both houses upside down. But what are these CONNECTIONS and how will Big Brother use them to keep everyone on their toes."

A show statement also laid out the new plans: "The Others will be conspiring to target and take down the housemates as they attempt to steal their place in the Big Brother House and secure a chance of winning the £100,000 prize fund."

It has long been speculated that there might be crossover between the normal Big Brother house and the Celebrity Big Brother one for this year's show.

Celebrity housemates are rumoured to include Gogglebox hairdressers Stephen Webb and Chris Steed, as well as Ex on the Beach star Connor Hunter and The Selfie Sisters, aka blagger siblings Lucie, Sophie and Stacey.

Emma Willis will be back to host the main show, the theme of which is "under attack", while Rylan will continue presenting the spin-off.

Revealing her excitement over the return of the show, Emma tweeted: "Are you ready for this? ARE YOU?? I can reveal this year’s @BBUK has TWO HOUSES. Introducing… The Others. It is far. too. much!! #BBUK."
