Bill Murray: 'I love Adele'

Bill Murray met Donald Trump at an Adele show.

Adele has an unlikely superfan in Ghostbusters star Bill Murray.

The actor reveals he was turned onto the soulful Brit by his sons, and now he can't get enough of her.

"I became a fan when I was driving my sons to school," he told Esquire magazine. "I had Adele on, and I look in the rear view mirror and all three of my sons are in the back singing.

"I'm thinking, 'What the hell touched these guys?' So I started singing it myself after I dropped them off."

Bill has even checked out an Adele concert, and he was as impressed with her comedy skills as her golden voice.

"She's really funny," he added. "She sings these songs and people are just bathing themselves in tears. They're just crying and weeping over the way she sings the songs, and then she goes, 'So glad that you're still here. I mean, I had the s**ts last night, and it was, like, all over my sheets, all over me panties and me jammies (pyjamas)'. It's like, 'What?'

"This is the way she talks in between songs. People are just gobsmacked by it, because you don't see it coming. And then she goes, 'Oh, here's a song. I hope I don't f**l this up 'cause of my drinking'. And then she goes back to singing, and you're completely spellbound."

Murray reveals he bumped into another unlikely Adele fan at the same gig - reality TV star-turned-U.S. presidential hopeful Donald Trump - and they made arrangements to play golf together.
