Birthday girl Gwyneth Paltrow gives ex Chris Martin a kiss

Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated her 43rd birthday with ex-husband Chris Martin on Sunday (27Sep15).

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were reportedly “a little flirty” when they reunited to celebrate the actress’ 43rd birthday on Sunday (27Sep15).

The former couple were married for ten years before they announced their split last March (14).

But despite no longer being together, Gwyneth and Chris appeared to be on more than good terms while enjoying brunch at New York’s Prune restaurant last weekend, and she was even seen giving her ex spouse a kiss on the cheek.

"Gwyneth and Chris seemed just fine, a little flirty and stayed close to one another," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "Blythe and Chris still appear close, still acting as a family together."

The pair were joined by their two children, 11-year-old Apple and nine-year-old Moses, and Gwyneth’s mother Blythe Danner was also present for the celebratory meal.

Gwyneth posted a video on her Instagram page after being surprised with a musical gift at the eatery.

“Oh my GOD I GOT A SURPRISE MARIACHI BIRTHDAY BAND!!!” Gwyneth captioned the video. “Thank you @jessseinfeld and everybody who was at #prunerestaurantnyc you made my day.”

Both Gwyneth and Chris have moved on from their marriage in a romantic sense. She is dating Glee boss Brad Falchuk while Chris has been in an on-off relationship with Jennifer Lawrence for nearly a year.

Gwyneth has previously spoken about the difficulties she and 38-year-old Chris have faced post-separation, recently shedding some light on the divorce.

"It’s been hard, and you know, like, we’ve gone through really difficult times with it but we’ve always said these children are our priority," she said while speaking at the #BlogHer15 conference in New York.

"What that really means is, 'Even though today, you hate me and you never want to see me again, like, we’re going to brunch, cause it’s Sunday and that’s what we’ll do!' You know, like, 'That’s what’s happening!'"
