Black won't go back to Blind Date

Cilla Black has said she won't go back to hosting Blind Date and that Holly Willoughby should take up the mantle.

Cilla, 70, is celebrating her showbusiness career with an ITV special airing tonight (October 16).

She told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning that she resurrected her former show Blind Date for the one-off special.

"I loved doing it - I was a bit rusty because it was all change," Cilla said.

Asked whether she'd consider fronting a new series of the dating show, the former singer replied: "Well not with me... I'm 70 and I think I've had my time... I wouldn't want to do it full time."

When Cilla and Phillip told Holly - who presents Cilla's other former show Surprise Surprise - that she should present Blind Date, Holly replied: "Well, it is an amazing show. I used to love it very much!"
