Blake Lively gave birth to Let's Get It On
Blake Lively revealed the doctor was "laughing so hard" at Ryan Reynolds' song choice she thought she was "going to drop our baby".
Blake Lively gave birth to one of her children while husband Ryan Reynolds was playing Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On in the delivery room.
The former Gossip Girl actress revealed the humorous anecdote during a game of Fact or Fiction with fashion designer Michael Kors, as part of his Glamour Games video series, that her husband Ryan decided to soundtrack their baby's arrival with Gaye's classic 1973 hit.
She read out the statement "my husband played Let's Get It On while I was in labour" and Michael had to decide if she was telling the truth. Once he ruled it was a fact, Blake revealed it was indeed true and Ryan's song choice certainly put a comedic spin on the birth.
"Yes, my doctor was laughing so hard I thought she was going to drop our baby," she added.
The 29-year-old didn't specify which child she was giving birth to at the time. She is mother to daughters James, two, and Ines, who was born in September (16). The couple, who married in 2012, have been fiercely private about the children, not immediately revealing their names, and they only took them to their first public event in December (16) when Ryan was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
During the game of Fact and Fiction, Blake also revealed she had her first kiss at the age of 16 and she was "so terrified" because it was on camera, she had a childhood crush on former U.S. talk show host David Letterman because "he had my dad's sense of humour" and she had a dog named 405 after the Los Angeles freeway because that's where it was found.
Blake won the game with six points to Michael's four.
