Blake Lively: Marriage gratifies me

Blake Lively

Blake Lively is more fulfilled by her personal life than her professional endeavours.

The former Gossip Girl star married actor Ryan Reynolds, 36, on September 9, 2012, but the pair rarely speak about their relationship publicly.

Blake honours her marriage as sacred because the union provides her with deep emotional fulfillment.

Her career simply doesn’t inspire Blake quite as much as her love with Ryan does.

"With film and TV, you don't see the results for months," she revealed during an interview in the September issue of Lucky magazine.

"Building a home, you get immediate gratification.... My greatest passion is my personal life."

Blake is known for her stylish wardrobe and she is frequently listed on critics’ best-dressed lists.

The actress thinks her husband possesses way more refined style judgment than she does.

"I'm very lucky to be with someone who has better taste than me," she said. "We influence each other in different ways."

Blake doesn’t think her personality has altered much since becoming a wife.

The 25-year-old star acknowledges she has grown up a lot, but she hasn’t lost her youthful joie de vivre.

"I was recently asked how my style has changed since I got married, as if I was living under some sort of dictatorship," she laughed. "I should hope I dress differently at 25 than I did when I graduated high school. I hope I never stop changing."
