Blake Lively thinks her mom is better at finding interesting items for the home, but is putting her own skills to the test on her website Preserve.
The Gossip Girl actress recently started Preserve, a site that offers lifestyle features as well as a place to shop for cute homeware.
Blake's mom Elaine shares her daughter's passion for finding one-of-a-kind pieces, with the blonde star confessing her skills are nothing in comparison.
"My mom is better at this than I could ever imagine being," Blake smiled to People magazine. "She's just amazing at finding the most incredible treasures."
Blake has recently spoken about her desire to have a litter of kids with husband Ryan Reynolds, and her website will be her first port of call when it comes to kitting out future children.
Revealing family is everything to her, Blake's website caters for everyone and is the ideal place to pick up gifts for your loved ones.
"[Family is] where my roots and my passions are. We'll have things for grandmas and newborn babies and everyone in between.
"My family is probably too involved in my life because they are my best friends, but I love that," she added.
While the 26-year-old's presence on screen in movies such as The Green Lantern and Savages has won her legions of fans, she hasn't let the fame go to her head.
Far from demonstrating diva behaviour, Blake is enjoying getting involved at all levels of her new business venture.
"I'm the assistant at photoshoots, running around making sure everyone has food and the photographer has all his equipment. But I also wanted to learn web design and how to code and upload products," she revealed.
"I think it's important to understand what goes into everyone's job. When I make a decision, it's easy for people to say OK, but then they're in the office until 3am, and I don't even know. If I understand the implications, then I can be the best leader that I can be."
