Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have confirmed they are no longer together.
The British actor and Australian model have been together for six years and married for three. They have two-year-old son Flynn together and their breakup comes as a surprise as they were not thought to be experiencing difficulties.
"In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months," Orlando's representative told E!
"After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
The former couple were last photographed together on October 8 and their final official appearance with each other came in September, when Miranda supported Orlando at the opening of his Broadway show Romeo and Juliet.
The 30-year-old model gushed about Orlando, 36, in the most recent edition of Cosmopolitan magazine.
"For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week - I have so much respect for him. We don't run lines though. We keep that very separate. That would be like me asking him to teach me how to catwalk," she said.
Orlando and Miranda started dating in 2007 and became engaged in June 2010. The following month they confirmed they had married in a secret ceremony, with her pregnancy announced in August the same year.
