Bloom co-star denies romance

Orlando Bloom's Broadway co-star Condola Rashad dismisses dating gossip.

The actor is starring alongside Condola Rashad in the New York theatre production of Romeo and Juliet.

Recent reports suggested the pair had become more than friends in the wake of Orlando's separation from Australian model Miranda Kerr.

However, Condola tells UK newspaper The Mirror their relationship is purely platonic.

"Orlando and I are co-workers and friends, that's all," she said, adding, "The fact anyone thinks anything more I guess means we've done a good job portraying passion and love in our performance.

"People are addicted to shock and extra drama so they'll go to any measure to credit that."

Orlando and Miranda started dating in 2007 and became engaged in June 2010, before getting married the following month.

The former couple confirmed in October they had been separated for several months.

A spokesperson for the pair insisted the split was amicable and that seems to be the case as Orlando and Miranda, who share two-year-old son Flynn, have been seen together several times since.

The pair were recently spotted strolling arm-in-arm in New York City, taking their son out to lunch.

Orlando has also insisted there is no animosity, revealing he still considers Miranda "family".

"It's all good," he told TMZ. "Life's a mystery. Things don't always work out the way you want, but it's all good."
