Blue were surprised at how "catty" 'The Big Reunion' was.

The 'All Rise' hitmakers  Blue were invited to join other reformed pop acts - including 5ive, B*Witched, 911, Liberty X and Atomic Kitten - halfway through the ITV2 series and couldn't believe it when they watched the footage back and saw some of the comments the other bands had made about them.

Simon Webbe exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We were quite nervous about it to be honest. We got on with everybody. We've got no reason not to.

"When you watch the footage back and you kind of see what everyone says behind your back, it's a bit catty but that's the nature of the business.

"You know it was like that in school, it's like that in my job. All I care about is the other three in my band."

The boy band - also made up of Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Antony Costa - caused a stir because they had already reunited after initially going their separate ways in 2005, and drew particularly scathing criticism from The Honeyz, who branded them cocky.

Discussing the backstage drama at a special thank you party for the  Royal Albert Hall Teenage Cancer Trust concerts last night (10.04.13), Simon said: "What because we're already reunited? We haven't been reunited here in this country; otherwise they wouldn't have invited us on to the show, for number one.

"And number two, just worry about yourselves. You know you've had eight months to prepare to do what you've gotta do. It shouldn't really matter who's joining, it's music.

"You know it's not about you - it's about the fans. You get to tell your story, you get your air time and then see what happens after that.

"But for them to say we walked in all cocky and that, if you watch the footage, they actually walk in on our rehearsals, how can we be walking in cocky?"

'Les Miserables' heartthrob Eddie Redmayne and 'Made In Chelsea's Cheska Hull also showed their support for the cause at the London-based event, hosted for free by the Groucho Club.
