Jon Bon Jovi's daughter will not return to the college where she suffered a heroin overdose until next year, according to reports.
The 50-year-old musician's eldest daughter Stephanie Rose was discovered catatonic in her Hamilton College dorm room last week.
Stephanie, 19, was rushed to hospital and was subsequently released on Thursday.
She and fellow university student Ian Grant, 21, faced three counts of drug possession for heroin and marijuana.
The charges were dismissed due to New York State's Good Samaritan 911 law.
According to MailOnline, Stephanie will not return to the college in upstate New York until at least the New Year.
A source close to the family dismissed reports Stephanie has entered rehab.
"I've not heard that, but Jon and Dorothea are determined to make sure that Stephanie gets all the help she needs, they are committed parents and were completely shocked after what happened - they had no idea about Stephanie's drug use," the insider said, adding, "The family wants to enjoy the holidays, get Stephanie back to full health and then back to college."
Jon confessed during an interview with Fox 11 TV station in Los Angeles the past week has been extremely rough to get through.
"This tragedy was something that I had to face too so we'll get through it," he said.
He also thanked fans for their "warm wishes for my family", which he called "reassuring".
Jon has four children, Stephanie and three sons, with his wife Dorothea Hurley.
