Drug possession charges against Jon Bon Jovi's daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi have been dropped.
The 19-year-old university student was found unresponsive at her upstate New York dorm room just before 2am Wednesday morning, local news station WKTV reported.
The Town of Kirkland Police Department conducted a search in her room and found a "small quantity" of heroin, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, according to the outlet.
Stephanie faced possession violations for these narcotics, but TMZ reports that Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara has dismissed these misdemeanours.
The New York state Good Samaritan 911 law prohibits people who are seeking assistance for overdoses to be charged with drug possession. Apparently this invites people who are near death due to intoxication to call out for help without fear of legal ramifications.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene at her Hamilton College dorm.
Stephanie was taken to a local hospital for treatment immediately after the incident and released Thursday.
Fellow student Ian Grant, 21, who was involved in the incident, also no longer faces misdemeanour drug charges.
Both students have been released from police custody and are expected to appear in court at a later date.
Stephanie is Jon's eldest of four children with wife Dorothea Hurley.
The singer has yet to issue comment on the report.
