Boss ticketed in backstreets
A parking ticket on one of rocker Bruce Springsteen's tour trucks as he prepared to play Britain's newest music venue has been rescinded.
A picture of a council enforcement officer ticketing one of The Boss's vehicles outside Leeds Arena on Wednesday was circulated on social networks.
It happened as preparations were under way for the Backstreets singer's concert, heavily promoted by the council.
But a council spokesman said that the ticket will not have to be paid and it was rescinded.
One bystander told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "A couple of jobsworths have come down here – the stick they have got from people is hilarious. They are not parked illegally, they are just parked down a side street."
The 13,500, £60m venue will be officially opened in September when Sir Elton John plays a concert.
