Brad Pitt accepts age
Brad Pitt has "no complaints" when it comes to turning 50.
The Hollywood star, who has enjoyed a successful movie career, turns 50 on December 18.
As he inches towards the milestone, Brad has more important things on his mind.
“Cool?... I don’t know. We’ll see… I’m busy right now so I haven’t thought about it,” he laughed to the Today show when asked if he's "cool" with growing older.
“So far I haven’t minded a bit... So I have no complaints.”
One of the things keeping Brad occupied is his latest movie venture, 12 Years a Slave.
The biographical drama tells the tale of Solomon Northup, a free man who was sold to slavery in 1841.
“It’s one of those few films that cuts to the base of our humanity,” he explained.
As well as making movies, Brad is a busy dad and raises children Shiloh, Maddox, Pax, Knox, Zahara and Vivienne with his fiancée Angelina Jolie.
The actor "absolutely" plans to show 12 Years a Slave to his kids, but would rather wait until they are old enough to understand the harrowing tale.
“Maybe my eldest I would [show it to] right now,” he mused. “I’d rather for the others to get a little bit older and understand the dynamics of the world a little more.”
The drama also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor in the lead role.
It will be released worldwide from October 31.
