Brad Pitt has joked his daughters will only care about his job when he stars alongside Selena Gomez.
The actor and his fiancée, Angelina Jolie, raise six children together, three girls and three boys. While Maddox, Pax and Knox were excited to hear their dad was shooting zombie movie World War Z, Shiloh, Zahara and Vivienne were less impressed.
"If it’s got Selena Gomez in it or something they’ll be interested in it," he laughed to Access Hollywood. "I gotta work on that for the next one.
"I earned some points with [the boys] and they gave it a thumbs up."
It's already known that the children are a fan of Selena's Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place. Earlier this year, Selena shared an embarrassing encounter she had with Brad at an awards show, which saw her hiding, as she was so nervous after meeting him.
"So I was in my dressing room and I had just finished performing. They knocked on my door and they said, 'Brad Pitt would like to come in,' and I was like, 'He can come in.' I was trying to play cool and be really nice," she recalled. "As soon as he walked out I ran and I hid under the craft service table for like two minutes because I couldn't believe it was happening."
Brad has been jetting around the world to promote his new movie over the last few weeks. On Monday he was in New York City greeting crowds in Times Square. The star was amazed to see how many fans had turned out for the event and assured them the movie is worth it.
"It’s been a long process and it deserves it. It’s so much fun,” he said. “It’s the most intense thing you’re gonna see all summer. We want to make sure that people know that and enjoy it.”
After the event it's thought Brad joined some of the other people involved in the film for an intimate dinner at nightspot Catch followed by a rooftop party.
It was a busy day for the star, who earlier appeared on Good Morning America and spoke about Angelina's decision to have a preventative double mastectomy after she discovered she was genetically prone to breast cancer.
He then stopped off for a break at The Royalton hotel, where he was happy to spend more time with admirers of his work.
"A group of fans then approached him in the lobby and begged for photos. Brad’s security team gave him a look, but Pitt replied, ‘Of course, I can take a photo - I would love to,'" a source told New York Post.
