Brazier reveals This Morning dream

Jeff Brazier enjoys his TV presenting work

Jeff Brazier has revealed that he would like to present This Morning.

The Essex-born former footballer, who regularly reports for the daytime TV show, would like the opportunity to host the programme.

"I'd like to get a crack at hosting the main show of This Morning in the summer when they often toy around with guest presenters while Phillip (Schofield) and Holly (Willoughby) are away. I'd like to consider myself in the queue for that - it would be amazing," he said.

The 33-year-old added: "The ideal thing about my work with This Morning is that a lot of it can be done within school hours. For a working parent, it is ideal. I'd also really like to do a teatime game show. Whatever job you're doing, you just want to add another string to your bow every now and again."

After giving up football, dad-of-two Jeff - who first came to our attention on Channel 4's Shipwrecked in 2001 - has since become a reality TV star. He got his skates on for Dancing On Ice and appeared on Celebrity Wife Swap with then-girlfriend Jade Goody amongst others.

"I've had some amazing experiences with reality programmes. I loved the skating in particular because I've now got something that I can share with my kids," he said.

"It's a crazy notion to think that I grew up just kicking a ball, but now I can do spins and jumps on the ice. Last month we put on a skating event and raised more than £5,000 for two charities. It's also led to work where I go on This Morning and talk about Dancing On Ice."
