Megan Fox’s estranged husband Brian Austin Green supposedly still needs to rely on her financially after they divorce.
(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Actress Megan Fox may find herself paying spousal support to her soon-to-be ex-husband Brian Austin Green after he put in an official request to the courts.
The 29-year-old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star filed for divorce from the former Beverly Hills, 90210 hunk in August (15).
And TMZ reports Brian is now seeking spousal support as the pair head for divorce court. According to the outlet he filed response papers on Tuesday 29 September (15) and in these documents he ticked the box which requests the court award him with spousal support.
Brian, 42, is reportedly suffering from an illness that makes finding and maintaining a job difficult.
“Green has worked very little since last December when he and Megan were in a car wreck,” TMZ writes. “Megan was not injured but Brian now has a serious medical condition ... vertigo, affecting his balance and ability to work.”
However, Megan is doing well professionally at the moment, as she recently booked a recurring role on the upcoming fifth season of New Girl. She is also starring in two feature films next year (2016), including Zeroville and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. In essence, Megan’s income is steady and it is possible Brian may indeed be awarded with spousal support since his ability to support himself is currently very limited.
Previous reports suggested Megan asked for joint physical and legal custody of the two sons she shares with Brian, baby Noah, three, and 19-month-old Bodhi.
It was also claimed since Megan and Brian didn’t have a prenuptial agreement in place when they wed in 2010, the earnings they have accrued during their marriage will be split straight down the middle as they are classed as “community property”.
While many divorces can be bitter and fraught, Megan and Brian’s relationship is said to continue to be “very amicable”, and the pair are believed to still be living in the same house with their sons.
