Brie Larson more starstruck by The Bachelor Nick Viall than Meryl Streep
Brie Larson is a huge fan of ABC's The Bachelor and holds regular viewing parties of the dating show at her home.
Brie Larson was much more nervous meeting The Bachelor's Nick Viall than Hollywood icon Meryl Streep.
The Kong: Skull Island actress confessed during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night (08Mar17), that she's a major fan of the ABC reality TV dating show and regularly holds Bachelor parties for her friends and family.
During a viewing session at Brie's home following the Academy Awards in February (17), current Bachelor Nick made a surprise appearance, causing the 27-year-old to go into a complete meltdown when it came to talking to him.
"I was too shy. I got freaked out and starstruck," she laughed. "It was like the day before I was hugging Meryl Streep and I was like, 'This is fine.' But then Nick showed up at my house and I didn't know what to do!"
Brie added that Nick was "really cool" about watching the programme with her friends, but he wouldn't give away any spoilers about which woman may win his love. However, fangirl Brie was happy to capture a few paparazzi-style snaps of the 36-year-old.
"He stayed until the very end... He had such a good sense of humour about the whole thing, and I was just so nervous, I don't think I said anything to him the whole time. Because I was just like hiding, taking photos and sending them to Amy Schumer," smiled Brie.
The Oscar winner then explained that she takes the show very seriously and is part of a Bachelor Fantasy League, in which she tries to predict which contestant will receive the final red rose from Nick.
Brie, who is engaged to musician Alex Greenwald, and her pals also play Bachelor Bingo while viewing, but the show is mostly an excuse for her to get out her favourite wine dispensing gadget.
"During the hometown dates, everyone brought foods from their hometown," she shared. "We also have a red wine fountain, which is very classy - it was from Amazon, it's easy. Anyone can get it."
